Personal Information Protection Policy

1.Personal Information Protection Policy: J Trust Group

J Trust Group (hereinafter referred as “the Group”) believes it is its social responsibility to handle personal information, individual number and specific personal information (hereinafter, individual number and specific personal information are collectively referred to as “the Specific Personal Information, etc.”) appropriately. For this purpose, the Group establishes the Personal Information Protection Policy as set forth below. The Group will take all measures to protect personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. by requiring every executive and employee to comply with this Policy.

  • 1)The Group will comply with relevant laws and regulations on the handling of personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc.
  • 2)The Group will acquire personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. appropriately. Also, the Group will give notice or announcement regarding the purpose of use, except as permitted by relevant laws and regulations, and use such information within the scope of the said purpose.
  • 3)The Group will not supply any personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the individual concerned, except as permitted by relevant laws and regulations.
  • 4)The Group will not acquire, use or disclose to third parties the sensitive information of individuals (race, creed, social status and other items as stipulated in the laws and regulations on personal information protection), unless either: (i) required by relevant laws and regulations; or (ii) with the consent of the individual concerned to the extent necessary for business operations.
  • 5)When outsourcing the handling of personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. to any third party, the Group will oversee the party concerned to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to protect such information.
  • 6)The Group will establish procedures for handling, disclosing and correcting personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc., and review and improve them regularly.

2.Personal Information Protection Policy: J Trust Co., Ltd.

J Trust Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred as “the Company”)handles personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. as stipulated below.

  • (1)Appropriate Acquisition
    The Company will acquire personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. by fair and lawful means, only within the scope necessary for business operations.
  • (2)Purposes of Using Personal Information
    The Company holds and uses personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. for the following purposes:
  • (ⅰ)Personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. of shareholders
    • To exercise rights and/or fulfill obligations based on “Companies Act,” “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures” and other relevant laws and regulations.
    • To offer a range of benefits regarding shareholders status.
    • To manage shareholders such as preparing their data based on certain criteria set by applicable laws and regulations.
  • (ⅱ)Personal information of individuals requesting documents or making inquiries
    • To notify of and execute transactions appropriately.
  • (ⅲ)Personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc. of employees and retirees
    • To give notice for personnel, labor and operational purposes.
    • To fulfill obligations based on “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures.”
  • (ⅳ)Personal information of job applicants
    • To contact job applicants and to manage recruiting activities including internal selection procedures.
  • (3)Shared Use
    In some cases, the Company will share personal information data as stated below. Please note that employees’ personal information is subject to separate procedures.
  • (ⅰ)Personal data items to be shared
    • The name, address, date of birth, phone number and email address.
    • For the above “2. Purposes of Using Personal Information” (ⅳ), other data items provided by job applicants are included.
  • (ⅱ)Parties sharing the information
    • The Company’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies specified in the Annual Securities Report, etc.
  • (ⅲ)Purposes of shared use
    • As stated in the above “2.Purposes of Using Personal Information” (ⅰ) to (ⅳ)
  • (ⅳ)Parties responsible for the management
    • The Company
  • (4)Implementation of Security Control Measures
    The Company will take necessary and appropriate measures to safeguard personal information, including prevention of information leakage, loss or damage, and make corrections as appropriate. When using outsourcing services, the Company will enter into an agreement with such service provider on the proper handling of personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc.
  • (5)Point of contact for information disclosure, etc.
    For inquiries on personal information and the Specific Personal Information, etc., held by the Company including the cessation of use, disclosure, correction, addition and deletion, please contact below.
